The “Caves d’excellence” prize – attributed by Interloire to reward wine cellars for their hospitality towards tourists, and carried out by an independent firm – is awarded according to criteria laid out by wine tourism professionals, as well as the cellar’s proximity to our itinerary (within 5 km/3 mi.) and the diversity of the towns they cross. These winegrowers will happily open their doors to you, where you can discover the history of their estate, the maturation process in their cellars, and different steps of their production – all during tastings!
