Hécate
Nicolas Darrot

Nicolas Darrot has staged the absence of Urania: the muse of astronomy and astrology whose statue is missing from the theatre’s pediment. For Le Voyage, he has designed a giant article of clothing forming a recumbent character that can be walked through from one end to the other. This figure is Hecate: the Greek lunar goddess of magic. At its heart is an archaic fire in a bronze hearth – a nerve-centre of cosmic activity.
