Nantes Arts Museum

After being closed for 6 years, and having undergone major works designed by the London architecture firm, Stanton Williams, Nantes’ Fine Arts Museum reopened its doors, with a new building dedicated to contemporary art.

The permanent collection, with its over 13,000 works, covers every period from ancient to contemporary art, with every form of creation possible. Among the artists in the collection are: Georges de La Tour, Jean-Auguste- Dominique Ingres, Max Ernst, Sonia Delaunay, Gaston Chaissac, Pablo Picasso, Fernand Léger, Vassily Kandinsky, Raymond Hains, Claude Cahun, Giuseppe Penone, and Nan Goldin – to name only a few!
