Hooror Hits
Malachi Farrell

Malachi Farrell’s installations immerse spectators in the bright and sonic choreographies of machines and connected objects.

The artist often uses found materials and objects which he combines with state-of-the-art IT, electronic and mechanical systems, as well as images and slogans taken from the media or military. For Le Blockhaus DY.10, Malachi Farrell offers an exhibition made up of his recent “hits”, inviting visitors inside his funny and deranged world. In Dancing Cameras, the visitor is filmed. In Obsolescence, books are banned and judged. Charmeur de serpents shows weapons dancing to sounds of a pungi clarinet. And finally, Strange Fruit raises social, political, identity and territorial issues.

MALACHI FARRELL WAS BORN IN 1970. HE LIVES AND WORKS IN MALAKOFF.
