Thanks to the Nantes-based architect collective mit, Mauves-sur-Loire briefly rediscovers its former status as an early 20th century beach resort.
Fishing, sandboxes, relaxing under a parasol… The pebble beach in Mauves-sur-Loire has rediscovered its former status as an early 20th century beach resort.
The architects behind Nantes-based Collectif mit have recreated a coastal atmosphere in the port of Mauves with beach cabins, a refreshment stand, and a tiny stage, while outdoor furniture allows guests to sit or stretch out on the grass and gaze out at the Loire River near the iron bridge that is decked out in seaside colours for the occasion.
