Managed by a trio made up of Pauline Gompertz, Louise Guerraud – artists who graduated from the Beaux-Arts Nantes Saint-Nazaire – as well as the artist Jonathan Marinier, Askip is a place who tries the bet of a combined “3 in 1” combination : gallery of contemporary art, associative café and automatic warning.
Askip’s programming is intended t be rhythmic, rich and diverse : exhibitions, contemporary music concerts, screenings of artists’films, round tables, performances, magazine releases and dj-sets rub shoulders. Through it uses, Askip revives the tradition of washhouses of yesteryear which, beyond their usefulness, were vectors of social links, meetings and exchanges.
