Daniel Dewar and Grégory Gicquel occupy this space with their stone works as they would any traditional sculpture gallery. Be it marble, diabase, sandstone, granite, marquetry, sculpture, or haut-relief: each work borrows its likeness from the intimate world of the human body in its everyday functionality, creating analogies with both familiar objects and animals. Thanks to their self-taughtNskills, they use humour to pervert the codes of classical sculpture. By never obeying the diktats of tradition, they have created a brand new perspective on sculpture.
