Les Galeries Lafayette has given Nantes-based artist Docteur Paper exclusive carte blanche over the department store. The result is a visual journey through the store’s – and Nantes’ – history and architecture, both of which are closely intertwined.
All around the central escalator, Docteur Paper presents Lafayetteville: a monumental installation featuring an urban panorama inspired by the store’s architectural heritage and Nantes’ emblematic monuments, which visitors can discover as they move around the shop.
