Artistes invités

Pauline Gompertz, Louise Guerraud – both of whom graduated from the Beaux-Arts Nantes Saint-Nazaire fine arts school – and Jonathan Marinier are the three artists behind Askip: a “3-in-1” contemporary art gallery, non-profit café, and laundromat. Askip's programme is intended to be rhythmic, rich and diverse, showcasing exhibitions, contemporary music concerts, artist film screenings, round table discussions, performances, magazine releases and DJ sets. In certain respects, Askip revives the tradition of old lavoirs (laundries) which, beyond their primary function, were vectors of social relationships, encounters and exchanges.
