Representa a un ser an\u00f3nimo y sufriente inspirado en personas que Creten conoci\u00f3 durante sus encuentros y viajes, especialmente en Italia. All\u00ed conoci\u00f3 a muchas personas que cruzaron el Mediterr\u00e1neo en exilio y se enfrentaron simult\u00e1neamente a la muerte y a la esperanza de una vida futura.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Esta escultura est\u00e1 directamente relacionada con su serie \u00abPerles noires\u00bb (Perlas negras) que inici\u00f3 en la misma \u00e9poca, en la que intrigantes rostros que recuerdan m\u00e1scaras mortuorias emergen de un molde abierto y evocan un nacimiento: el paso de un mundo a otro, de un continente a otro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El escenario de esta escultura es el patio de una mansi\u00f3n probablemente construida con dinero procedente del comercio de esclavos del Atl\u00e1ntico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Al dialogar con la intimidad y la historia de este lugar, <em>Sin t\u00edtulo<\/em> se revela como un antimonumento con m\u00faltiples significados, desde la tragedia a la esperanza por nuestro pasado y nuestro presente.<\/p>\n\n\n\t<\/div><\/section>\n\t<section class=\"VAN22_NOTE VAN22_BG_gris\"><div class=\"VAN22_LIMIT_SECTION\"><p>JOHAN CRETEN WAS BORN IN 1963 AND LIVES AND WORKS IN MONTREUIL.
