{"id":74028,"date":"2023-05-23T10:49:31","date_gmt":"2023-05-23T08:49:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.levoyageanantes.fr\/oeuvres\/commedia\/"},"modified":"2023-06-14T09:05:15","modified_gmt":"2023-06-14T07:05:15","slug":"commedia","status":"publish","type":"oeuvre","link":"https:\/\/www.levoyageanantes.fr\/en\/artworks\/commedia\/","title":{"rendered":"Commedia"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"VAN22_CHAPEAU\"><p>Built in the late 15th century in the heart of the city, H\u00f4tel de Ch\u00e2teaubriant is one of Nantes\u2019 largest aristocratic mansions.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Since 2015, Maen Florin has created monumental pieces, sculpting primarily with ceramics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Human representation is at the heart of her work, and she dreams up marginal characters that are often sourced in different bodies and personalities, from different historical periods \u2013&nbsp;like Commedia dell\u2019arte \u2013 antique artworks, or major figures in art history. These figures are often between emotional states or introspective, and Florin tries to capture the deep feelings in their expressions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le Voyage \u00e0 Nantes has invited Maen Florin to present a series of works representing 4 of these characters, which&nbsp;seem to be ghosts of a bygone era. Even though each character\u2019s expression is different, they all share the same tumultuous tranquility.<\/p>\n\n\n\t<\/div><\/section>\n\t<section class=\"VAN22_NOTE VAN22_BG_gris\"><div class=\"VAN22_LIMIT_SECTION\"><p class=\"p1\">Maen Florin was born in 1954.
