The visitor rises in the middle of the reed beds and reaches a vast platform where a tower is built.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>In Lavau, after the channel was dug and parts of the Loire were filled, the river pulled back to reveal a large zone of marshland. Tadashi Kawamata reconnects this village with the Loire by creating a footbridge over the marsh that ends at the observatory. It offers a privileged view of the riverscape, somewhere between natural and industrial zones.<\/p>\n\n\n\t<\/div><\/section>\n\t<section class=\" VAN22_BG_rose\"><div class=\"VAN22_LIMIT_SECTION VAN22_FOCUS\" style=\"text-align:center;\"><p>In Lavau, after opening in 2007 \u2013 18 years, already! \u2013 le path leading to Tadashi Kawamata\u2019s <em>L\u2019Observatoire<\/em> requires restoration work. This temporary, one-year closure will allow visitors to regain access to this pathway through the river\u2019s reed beds.
