The Art Museum invites Justin Weiler to take over the glass space in front of the museum.\u00a0 Creating a dialogue between the street and the museum, Justin Weiler has designed an installation composed of glass panels coloured by multiple slow and meticulous applications of paint and ink.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

The space\u2019s materiality \u2013 now associated with the materiality of the sculpture \u2013 merges to form a whole that summons light \u2013 whether it is the direct rays of the sun, the infinitely varied shades of clouds, or the nighttime electric light of street lamps or the moon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After using domestic and urban materials like store blinds and iron curtains to explore the potentiality of black, Weiler now experiments with the delicate power of colour, always working in layers and superimpositions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through a repeated gesture, he has created a sensorial work that constantly changes depending on the time of day and the viewer\u2019s perspective.<\/p>\n\n\n\t<\/div><\/section>\n\t

Justin Weiler was born 1990 and lives between Paris and Nantes.<\/p>\n
