This is one of those rare events where \u2013 without ever compromising the soldier\u2019s commitment \u2013 it is possible to find a humorous silver lining in an unlucky moment. For this piece, a walrus (\u201cmorse\u201d in French) adds a new narrative element, and asks new questions about the origin and outcome of this story.
