She also collaborates with numerous fanzines and festivals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Inspired by geological cross-sections depicting the Earth\u2019s layers \u2013 such as those created by artist and botanist Orra White Hitchcock (1796 &#8211; 1863) \u2013 Barzila\u00ef designed six scenes showing what exists both above and below ground, creating surreal terrestrial, subterranean, and celestial visions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Caves, mountains, volcanoes, eclipses, seas, and geological strata of rock, sand, and soil merge into a shifting landscape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Created in oil pastel on paper, the images have a clay-like, earthy texture. Their layered colors evoke sediment, mud, and stone, offering a dreamlike vision of the hidden world beneath our feet. <\/p>\n\n\n\t<\/div><\/section>\n\t<section class=\"VAN22_NOTE VAN22_BG_gris\"><div class=\"VAN22_LIMIT_SECTION\"><p>Pauline Barzila\u00ef was born in 1987 and lives and works in Marseilles.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/paulinebarzilai\/\"
