A restored former papermaker and flour mill, now hosts a living paper museum in an idyllic setting.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

On the banks of the S\u00e8vre Nantaise river, this example of local \u201cClissonnais\u201d architecture has continued to make paper since the 19th century. This 15th-century water mill, originally built to make flour, was transformed into a paper mill in the early 19th century, and completed by a two-storey brick drying room with round arched openings atop pillars that are reminiscent of Italian loggias. This paper mill, which has since been rehabilitated, paddle wheel and all, is a living workshop where you can make your own paper.<\/p>\n\n\n
