Around the year 1000, monks built this causeway along the S\u00e8vre Nantaise.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

By retaining the river flow, boats were able to flow upstream from Vertou and build a mill. The former 12-km (7.5-mile) towpath linking Nantes to Vertou now offers hikers and cyclists a protected route along the river. Today, visitors can enjoy plenty of activities: riverside strolls, restaurants…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whether on foot or by bike, by continuing along the banks of the S\u00e8vre, you can reach the site of Ch\u00e2teau de La Fr\u00e9moire <\/a>in 15 minutes (on foot). Just follow the signs!<\/p>\n\n\n\t<\/div>\n\t<\/section>\n\t
