It also explores the river, Nantes\u2019 port, its ferry bridge, and the major changes to the \u00cele de Nantes district. Through tools, models, films, sound documents, the exhibition retraces the history of shipbuilding in Nantes for 2000 years: its trades, know-how, working conditions\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\t<\/div><\/section>\n\t<section class=\" VAN22_BG_jaune\"><div class=\"VAN22_LIMIT_SECTION VAN22_FOCUS\" style=\"text-align:center;\"><h2 class=\"VAN22_H_1\" class=\"VAN22_H_1\" id=\"nantes-an-industrial-city-yesterday-today-tomorrow\">Nantes. An industrial city yesterday, today, tomorrow.<\/h2><p>Nantes has a rich and varied industrial past, this history has shaped the city, its inhabitants and its identity. Tram Line 1 will be temporarily suspended from mid-June to late August 2026. The city centre and Parc des Chantiers \u2013 Machines de l\u2019\u00cele will remain accessible, thanks to replacement buses and to the pedestrian and cycling routes that will continue to be open.
