Paysage Glissé

A paysage glissé (“sliding landscape”) is offered to visitors thanks to the structure of this slide, where the world outside will whizz past them.

As if suspended above the moat, without ever touching the castle, this steel ribbon wraps around the contours of the outer wall inviting visitors to look differently at the volumes of the Bastion Saint-Pierre, the Tour des Espagnols, or the staircase at the foot of the drawbridge. Guests step onto the slide and discover a one-of-a-kind view, 12 metres (40 ft.) off the ground, offering a full panorama that includes the public courtyard of the castle, the moat gardens, and the historical city centre.

!!! Paysage Glissé is forbidden to anyone under 130 centimetres (4 foot, 2 inches) tall.
!!! Only one person is permitted to use the slide at a time.
!!! Bare feet, heels, and flip-flops are forbidden.
!!! Above 42 ° C tank temperature, wearing pants is compulsory.
Possible closure in the event of inclement weather. Possible waiting times.
Not wheelchair accessible.
