An architecture exhibition might present blueprints, 3D perspectives, or images of buildings under a blue sky with smiling people, and interactive digital layouts... an entire elementary, codified and normative vocabulary that places architecture into its sole value as an image. The language used by Block is entirely different.
This exhibition highlights the poetic and sometimes ambiguous character of the work of Block’s three architects over an 18-year period. It insinuates the philosophical, social and urban, material and immaterial commitments at play within this singular group of architects.
