Attraction is a utopia in terms of both thought and action. It is a pragmatic and experimental philosophy to help us understand what rules over us, and see the world with our own eyes. In a gigantic laboratory divided into different work-sites, this is the mission Johann Le Guillerm has set for himself for the past 15 years.
Since 2001, this genre-defying artist has been committed to Attraction – a vast research project around the idea of the point. This project manifests itself concretely through a variety of forms: shows, performances, installations, architecture, sculptures... It is a gigantic laboratory divided into sub-labs where he experiments with flow, equilibrium, energies, movements and metamorphoses.
In the Jardin des Plantes, these works become wooden structures, sign games, and kineto-aquatic flowers, which colonize nature. The primary goal is to help us understand what rules over us, and perhaps see the world with new eyes.
New attractions: L’Arbrajonc, Le Jécouvert, L’Autocitrouille, L’Observatoire. Renewed attractions: La Racinante, L’AALU, Les Broglios, Les Droliques. Through these structures, rediscover the paths, trees, greenhouses, the orangerie, the ponds and the water jets.
