Attraction is a utopia in terms of both thought and action. It is a pragmatic and experimental philosophy to help us understand what rules over us, and see the world with our own eyes. In a gigantic laboratory divided into different work-sites, this is the mission Johann Le Guillerm has set for himself for the past 15 years.
Here, he experiments with flow, equilibrium, energies, movements and metamorphoses. Setting up shop in the Jardin des Plantes, these work-sites become wooden structures, sign games (jeux de signes ?), kinetic aquatic flowers, and colonize the nature, inviting us to change – if only for a moment – the way we look at our environment. This genre-defying artist takes over the Jardin des Plantes with six installations spread throughout the four corners of the park (ponds, lawns, greenhouses, the orangerie).
