La cantine de Nantes

Nestled on the banks of the Loire at the entrance of LC Club, this ephemeral canteen offers a single fixed menu that is simple and delicious.

It is a convivial place that can hold quite a few people (capacity for 300!). The interior was designed by two particularly creative Dutch designers: Kia Kubic and Douwe Hoekstra – it is worthy to note that Hoekstra works for Atelier Van Lieshout (L’Absence).

For the Cantine de Nantes they also imagined a custom-built spit roast and state-of-the-art barbecues to cook chicken and other poultry, whole hams, or fish skewers – depending on what is available at the farmer’s markets. It is also a place to relax: petanque terrains and table football are available for free!
