The work presents a series of wooden doors, like a portal that sucks visitors inside and transforms them into spectators of their surrounding environment.
The structure plays with solid and hollow spaces, pulling one’s gaze to either the street or the construction site. The wooden materials used immediately trigger the senses: the smell, the play of light and shadow, the sound of the flooring... everything participates in this sudden immersion. It is up to every visitor – passer-by, local resident, worker – to appropriate the space and invent its everyday use.
In this perpetually mutating neighbourhood, Oscillation acts as a sort of secular carcass, sculpted by the wind, inviting visitors to travel and contemplate.
Atelier Vecteur is a young collective bringing together architects, object designers, artists, and graphic designers. Housing several creative domains, the Atelier sees itself as a laboratory of ideas and a tool for creation. More than simply reflecting upon functionality, architectural experimentation is at the heart of their approach.
